October 2010 firing photos
Our annual fall firing when the leaves are turning gold on the maple trees. We had good weather, and having Pat & Joe Webber down from Cananda for the firing is always a special treat. We had an extra large crew this firing including: Jay, Alison, Nick & Peter Widmer, Deb Sether, Ted Ernst, Sandy Segna, Eric Moran, Pat Webber, Pat Berman, Dawn Jones, Jeff Richards, Hank Grewtoski, Donna & Wes Beckstead, Jan Dymond and Laura Campbell. Special thanks to John Morton for coming down to the unloading and scraping all the shelves.
This firing burned hot and fast - we achieved cone 13 in front within 10 hours! The back of the kiln also reached cone 13. We also had our first "pot exchange."
