April 2007 Firing

Beautiful weather, a great crew and new shelves. A minor disaster occured when we heard commotion inside the kiln during the first hours of the firing. We could see through the side stoke hole that some of the shelves had collapsed. It made side stoking a whole new experience. There was a lot of anticipation during the next week until we could unload and see what the damage was. The firing turned out great, and few pots were lost.
